We are pleased to announce that the BAIOSPHERE Medical 2026 Proceedings are now available online as an Open Access publication via FAU University Press.
BAIOSPHERE Medical 2026 brought together clinicians, imaging scientists, and AI researchers in Erlangen on 8–9 June 2026 to advance artificial intelligence in medical imaging — from methodological foundations to clinical translation. The symposium created an international forum for scientific exchange at the interface of medicine, imaging, artificial intelligence, and healthcare innovation.
The proceedings volume collects 93 peer-reviewed abstracts from the Main and Highlight tracks, together with four keynote lectures presented at the symposium. The contributions reflect the broad scientific scope of BAIOSPHERE Medical 2026, covering medical imaging, general medical AI, benchmarking and generalization, multimodal fusion, oncology, neuroradiology, and translational approaches toward clinical application.
The publication also marks a special milestone: the idea for BAIOSPHERE Medical 2026 was conceived only three months earlier at ECR 2026 in Vienna, making the successful realization of the symposium and its proceedings a remarkable achievement by the scientific and organizing community.
By publishing the proceedings Open Access, the contributions are freely available to the international research community and can be permanently referenced.
