Call for Papers

Scientific Scope

We welcome original scientific contributions, preferably, though not limited to, clinical applications in oncologic, neurologic, and cardiovascular imaging

  • AI methods for radiology and medical imaging
  • Machine learning and deep learning for image analysis
  • Foundation models and generative AI in medical imaging
  • Image reconstruction, enhancement, and quality improvement
  • Image segmentation, detection, classification, and registration
  • Quantitative imaging and imaging biomarkers
  • Multimodal imaging and data integration
  • Predictive modeling and outcome assessment from imaging data
  • Translational studies bridging algorithm development and clinical research
  • Prospective and retrospective validation studiesRobustness, generalizability, explainability, and uncertainty in medical imaging AI
  • Human-AI interaction in clinically relevant scientific settings

Main Track

Abstract Guidelines

  • Original works
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.Maximum length: 400 words. Max. two images in each abstract
  • Suggested structure: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  • Abstracts should present original scientific work.
  • For studies involving patient data or human participants, authors should indicate that relevant ethical approval and consent procedures were obtained where applicable.
  • At least one author of each accepted abstract must register for the symposium and present the work.

Review Criteria

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee and expert reviewers based on:

  • Scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor
  • Relevance to AI in medical imaging, Interdisciplinary significance
  • Translational and clinical relevance
  • Clarity of presentation

All accepted abstracts will be published in the symposium’s official Book of Abstracts / Conference Proceedings. We are currently negotiating with major Medical / AI journals about a special issue for this event.

Highlight Track

In addition to regular abstracts presenting original work, we also encourage the submission of highlights from previously published studies. This includes work published in leading journals such as Radiology, European Journal of Radiology, and Radiology: Artificial Intelligence, as well as top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, MICCAI, CVPR, ICCV, or other rigorously peer-reviewed venues that align with the scope of the conference.

Highlight papers must use the same title as the original publication and indicate the highlight submission with the word “Highlight:” in the beginning of the title. Abstract must be identical to the paper abstract and there are no figures and only one reference to the original work allowed.

Submissions to the Highlight track will not be considered eligible for an invitation to the planned special issue.
